Interpreter Training Programmes Available

OCN Level 4 Community Interpreter in Public and Private Sector

The main purpose of this course is to provide employed and/ or unemployed black and ethnic minority group with customised accredited training and employment provision in Community Interpreting. Improve their bilingual skills and enable them to access interpreting employment opportunities within the public / private / voluntary sectors across Northern Ireland and mainland UK.

Training is provided for 64 language groups.

Diploma in Translation (Level 7 QCF)

The Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) is the gold standard for anyone wanting a career as a freelance translator or to work as a translator for international corporations worldwide and meets the need for a high-level professional translating qualification.

LEVEL 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) Qualifications

The DPSI developed out of the 1983 Community Interpreter Project and represents professional level skills in public service interpreting.

It is a first-degree level qualification (NQF Level 6 – Bachelor Degree Level) in terms of language skills required for those interpreting in the UK in a Public Service context.
